The monthly Mission Discernment Team (MDT) meetings are open to every active, registered member of St. Joseph's Parish.

The St. Joseph's Mission Discernment Team is a consultative body whose primary role is to share expertise with the Pastor so that he may make prudent, informed decisions. Additionally, the MDT has the pastoral responsibility to oversee the coordination and supervision of all ministries within the Parish that affect, guide or serve the Parish family.

A primary duty of each Team member is dedication to the following Parish Mission Statement:

We are St. Joseph's Parish of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City - a member of the living Body of Christ. We come together sharing a faith in God. We come together as followers of Jesus, Son of God and Savior of the World.

It is our mission as a Parish to continue the Ministry of Jesus, the Son of God and our Brother, under the guidance and with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We desire God's will to become operative in our Parish so that His Kingdom will live and grow each day in our lives and in the life of the world around us.

We shall call upon our God for perseverance in the daily pursuit of our mission and rely on His Sacred Word and the Sacraments for direction and guidance.

Both elected and appointed Team members represent the members of St. Joseph's Parish. The officers of the Mission Discernments Team are the President, the Chairman, the Vice Chairman and the Secretary. The Pastor serves as the Team President. In consultation with the Chair of the Team, the President determines the agenda for all meetings. The Pastor also appoints a maximum of two Mission Discernments Team members. A Permanent Deacon also serves on the Council and provisions are made for membership for an Associate Pastor and Youth Delegate. Six elected-at large members serve terms of three years. Each year, two of the six elected positions are filled through Parish election. The three remaining officers, Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary are elected from the voting members of the council. The Mission Discernments Team of St. Joseph's welcomes your participation.

Las reuniones mensuales del Equipo de Discernimiento de la Misión (MDT) están abiertas a todos los miembros activos registrados de la parroquia de San José.

El Equipo de Discernimiento de la Misión de San José es un organismo consultivo cuya función principal es compartir la experiencia con el Pastor para que pueda tomar decisiones prudentes e informadas. Además, el MDT tiene la responsabilidad pastoral de supervisar la coordinación y supervisión de todos los ministerios dentro de la parroquia que afectan, guían o sirven a la familia parroquial.

Un deber principal de cada miembro del equipo es la dedicación a la siguiente declaración de misión parroquial:

Somos la Parroquia de San José de la Arquidiócesis Católica Romana de la Ciudad de Oklahoma, un miembro del Cuerpo viviente de Cristo. Nos reunimos compartiendo la fe en Dios. Nos reunimos como seguidores de Jesús, Hijo de Dios y Salvador del mundo.

Es nuestra misión como Parroquia continuar el Ministerio de Jesús, el Hijo de Dios y nuestro Hermano, bajo la guía y con los dones del Espíritu Santo. Deseamos que la voluntad de Dios sea operativa en nuestra parroquia para que Su Reino viva y crezca cada día en nuestras vidas y en la vida del mundo que nos rodea.

Invocaremos a nuestro Dios por perseverancia en la búsqueda diaria de nuestra misión y confiaremos en Su Sagrada Palabra y los Sacramentos para dirección y guía

Tanto los miembros del Equipo elegidos como los designados representan a los miembros de la Parroquia de San José. Los oficiales del Equipo de Discernimiento de la Misión son el Presidente, el Director, el vice Director y el Secretario. El Pastor sirve como Presidente del equipo. En consulta con el Presidente del equipo, el Presidente determina la agenda de todas las reuniones. El Pastor también designa un máximo de dos miembros del Equipo de Discernimiento de la Misión. Un Diácono Permanente también sirve en el Consejo y se hacen provisiones para la membresía de un Pastor Asociado y un Delegado Juvenil. Seis miembros elegidos en general sirven términos de tres años. Cada año, dos de los seis puestos elegidos se cubren mediante elección parroquial. Los tres oficiales restantes, el Director, el vice Director y el Secretario, se eligen entre los miembros con derecho a voto del consejo.
