Eucharistic Procession on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023
The parishes of St. Thomas More, St. Mark and St. Joseph in Norman, Oklahoma will be participating in a Eucharistic Procession on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. The evening will begin at 6:00PM with a liturgical service outside the St Joseph Adoration Chapel at 421 E Acres St. The evening will end with a liturgical service and reception at St Thomas More.
The procession will proceed west on Tonhawa St across Porter Ave to Jones Ave, south on Jones Ave past the Norman Train Depot and Legacy Trail Park to Duffy St, west on Duffy St across the railroad tracks to Jenkins Ave, and south on Jenkins Ave to Stinson Ave arriving at St. Thomas More University Parish. (See route map below) Water stations will be located at St. Joseph, Legacy Trail Park, and St. Thomas More. OU Parking Services will be enforcing the OU parking lots, so do not park in OU parking without a proper permit. Street parking is available in the neighborhood to the north and east of St Thomas More. Extensive parking is available at Reeves Park with a clear pathway from Reeves to St Thomas More along the intramural fields. (See parking map below)
Two buses will be providing shuttle service between St Thomas More and St Joseph from approximately 5:00PM to 8:30PM depending upon when the liturgy ends at St. Thomas More. One bus will follow the procession to provide transportation assistance to whomever may be in need of it. Because we have no way to accurately predict how many people will participate, it is recommended that people arrange their own transportation and carpool as much as possible.

La velada comenzará a las 6:00 p. m. con un servicio litúrgico afuera de St. Joseph. Capilla de Adoración en 421 E Acres St. La velada terminará con un servicio litúrgico y una recepción en St Thomas More.
