Every year the Catholic Church welcome new members through a process called the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. Through religious formation and instruction in the faith, persons are invited to consider God's call to be Baptized, Confirmed, to receive the Holy Eucharist and so be fully initiated as members of the Catholic Church.

Order of Christian Initiation
Faith formation is a lifelong process and offering continuing education for adults is of primary importance. Several opportunities are available: 

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process by which adults are prepared for initiation into the Catholic community. Adult inquirers and Catholics seeking Confirmation or to update their knowledge of the Catholic faith attend. Classes meet once a week for several months and include faith sharing, Scripture, Tradition and Catholic doctrine. Small group facilitators, hospitality coordinators and sponsors are needed. Training is provided.

Do you know someone who is not Catholic and who may be interested in forming a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Catholic faith? Did you miss being Confirmed? Would you like to sponsor someone who is inquiring into the Catholic faith?

If so, please let those who might be interested know; and you, too, plan to Join us. The classes will be September to May from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and we will meet at the Parish Center, 421 E. Acres.

Cada año, la Iglesia Católica da la bienvenida a nuevos miembros a través de un proceso llamado Orden de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos. La Orden de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (OCIA) es el proceso mediante el cual los adultos se preparan para la iniciación en la comunidad católica. Asisten adultos interesados y católicos que buscan la Confirmación o para actualizar su conocimiento de la fe católica.
