Liturgical Ministries
Liturgical Ministers play a vital role in the Catholic Church, serving as an extension of the priest's ministry and facilitating the celebration of the Eucharist and other liturgical events. As Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors, Altar Servers, and Ushers, they help to create a reverent and meaningful worship experience for the entire parish community. By serving in these roles, Liturgical Ministers not only deepen their own faith but also contribute to the spiritual growth and well-being of their brothers and sisters in Christ.
The ministries you can participate in include:
• Lectors: Proclaim the Word of God during Mass and liturgical celebrations.
• Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: Assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ.
• Acolytes and Altar Servers: Youth and children (who have made their first communion) who assist the priest at the altar during Mass.
• Ushers: Offer hospitality to parishioners and help maintain order during Masses and special events.
If you are looking for a way to serve and grow in your faith, we invite you to consider becoming a Liturgical Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
